Division 60 - Grain Inspection and Warehousing
The programs that utilize rule making for the division are Grain Inspection Services and Grain Regulatory Services. Grain Inspection Services is federally designated by the United States Department of Agriculture and provides services pertaining to grain inspection as set out in The United States Grain Standards Act. As a disinterested third party, this program ensures the buyer and seller of a fair market value for their grain. The duties consist of official sampling, inspection, weighing and chemical analysis of grain and official processed commodities supervision. Grain Regulatory Services licenses, bonds and audits grain warehouses and grain dealers in Missouri, providing protection to the state’s grain producers in case of warehouse or grain dealer insolvency.
