Department of Ag Removes 22 Dogs from Property in Morgan County
Animal Care Facility Act officers from the Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA) worked in coalition with the Morgan County Sheriff's Department to remove dogs from a Morgan County residence.
The rescue, which took place on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, included 22 dogs. The owner was not affiliated with state or federal licensing programs or involved in the commercial sale of dogs.
ACFA inspectors routinely work with local sheriff's departments and not-for-profit organizations to rescue animals. Since January 2009, ACFA has taken numerous enforcement actions on substandard facilities in Missouri, resulting in over 3,700 dogs rescued.
