Department of Agriculture Unveils Missouri Agriculture Magazine at Director's Dinner
More than 100 agriculture leaders gathered for the magazine launch
(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) – The Missouri Department of Agriculture today unveiled the 2015-16 Missouri Agriculture magazine at the Director’s Dinner in Sedalia, hosted by Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce. Missouri Agriculture is an annual publication that showcases the people, places and things that make up agriculture in the Show-Me State.
The content of the publication revolves around the Department’s areas of focus, and includes stories about environmental stewardship, beef cattle producers, international marketing, youth leadership development and more. Featured Missouri farmers include Danny Wassman, Boonville; Nick Hammett, Circle A Angus Ranch in Iberia; Chris Chinn, Clarence; Andy Kapp, Clarksdale; Ronnie Berry, Neelyville; Chris Heins, Higginsville; and many more.
“The pages in this issue of Missouri Agriculture highlight a handful of the numerous outstanding individuals who represent the state’s number one industry,” said Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce. “There are many incredible things going on in Missouri agriculture and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to tell the stories of the people who have chosen to make agriculture their livelihood.”
This publication is a method of sharing information about the benefit agriculture provides to consumers and producers in the state. Agriculture is an industry that touches the lives of all Missourians on a daily basis, whether it be the fuel in vehicles or the food on plates.
The magazine has a print distribution of 15,000 and is also available online at www.mo-agriculture.com.
