Save the Date for Missouri's 2012 Governor's Conference on Agriculture

The 2012 Missouri Governor's Conference on Agriculture is coming to Kansas City for the first time. The conference, held Jan. 19-21, will focus on current key issues in agriculture, including food safety, security and integrity.

The Governor's Conference on Agriculture will also feature in-depth panel discussions on the management of the Missouri River, EPA regulations and international marketing. Additional sessions are being developed to discuss important concepts such as coexistence and food hubs and to provide networking opportunities with Missouri's agriculture professionals.

A major highlight of the 2012 event will be the opening Taste of AgriMissouri reception. This traditional reception, held Thurs., Jan. 19, will feature the finest products Missouri agriculture has to offer, including foods and beverages from local businesses, AgriMissouri companies, our outstanding commodity associations and Missouri's famous wineries.

The conference will culminate Sat., Jan. 21 with a very special evening banquet that is sure to be one of the largest Governor's Conference events. Details about this exciting not-to-be-missed celebration will be available soon.

The 2012 Missouri Governor's Conference on Agriculture will be held at the Westin Crown Center hotel in Kansas City. The Conference is open to the public; however registration is required for most events.

Registration information will be available on the Department's website, mda.mo.gov, in December. The event is funded through sponsorships and registrations.
