The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Authority makes grants, loans, loan guarantees and tax credits available at competitive rates. MASBDA offerings are only a portion of financial assistance programs available to Missouri producers available on the Missouri Department of Agriculture website.
The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority is authorized to grant an Agricultural Product Utilization Contributor Tax Credit in an amount up to 100 percent of a contribution from a person, partnership, corporation, trust, limited liability company or other donor. The contribution must be made to the authority to be used for financial or technical assistance to rural agricultural business concepts as approved by the authority.
Agricultural Products Utilization Contributor Tax Credit program details and application
The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority provides Missouri tax credits to Missouri’s lenders who make breeding livestock loans to small farmers. To participate in the loan program, a small farmer shall first obtain approval for a family farm breeding livestock loan from an eligible lender. The small farmer shall not be charged interest by the lender for the first year of the qualified family farm livestock loan.

The Meat Processing Facility Investment Tax Credit was enacted to stimulate investment in the meat processing industry in Missouri and to enable the livestock industry to capture more value in the form of further processed meat products. Meat processing facilities located in Missouri that construct, improve, or acquire buildings, facilities, or equipment used exclusively for meat processing after January 1, 2017 are eligible to apply to the program.
