The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Feed Control Laboratory is located in Jefferson City and is under the direction of the Plant Industries division. The laboratory provides testing services to assist the Feed Regulatory Program in meeting its feed industry oversight duties. The Feed Control Laboratory analyzes approximately 5,000 samples each year and is capable of performing up to 30 different chemical analyses on those samples. The laboratory receives samples from the Feed Regulatory Program inspectional staff. Most samples are tested and results reported within nine days of sample collection. The Feed Control Laboratory implemented a quality management system and received ISO/IEC – 17025:2017 accreditation in December 2019.
