The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Seed Control Laboratory is located in Jefferson City and is under the direction of the Plant Industries Division. The laboratory provides testing services to assist the Seed Regulatory Program in meeting its seed industry oversight duties. The Seed Control Laboratory analyzes approximately 2,500 samples each year and offers many different seed sampling and seed testing services. The laboratory receives samples from the division’s inspectional staff as well as individual consumers. The charges for analysis and analytical reports on seed samples are listed in the Missouri Seed Regulations 2CSR 70-35.050.
